Comprehensive editorial services
My editorial approach is humane + precise. While my expertise is in literary fiction (novels + short stories), I also work on screenplays and with speculative, upmarket and memoir authors.

Let’s look at your draft on a macro and meso level. I’ll read for theme, structure, character, dialogue, tension, pacing, and come back with both strategic + tactical edits.
You might be looking for a developmental editor if:
You’ve got a complete manuscript to share (whether that’s a 300-page book or a 10-page short story)
You feel overwhelmed at the prospect of self-editing—where to start, what to focus on
Or maybe you’ve done extensive revisions already, and you’re not sure if you’re even improving it anymore
You’re mentally prepared to put in the effort to improve the draft
What you’ll get: a structured memo that usually runs 5-15 pages + a 1-2h call to review together.
Potential add-ons: help with query letters or plot summaries for query letters, subsequent review in whole or part -
Unlike many editors, I live for line editing. I often find it’s helpful to do these as a second round of edits after you’ve incorporated feedback from the developmental round.
You might be looking for a line editor if:
You’ve completed a manuscript and you’re relatively confident in its shape + structure
You want fresh eyes to spot rough patches before you submit a polished draft to agents or presses
You want your sentences to glint
What you’ll get: detailed stylistic revisions on a sentence-by-sentence level for the full manuscript. (Note this is not the same as a copy edit, which is grammatical and authoritative.)

This is time where we work on not just your project but also your practice as a writer.
Coaching might be for you if:You’ve been working on your manuscript for a while now, and it’s time to finish it
You’ve received vague or unhelpful—or even damaging—feedback in the past (honestly, same.)
You’re new to the publishing industry and aren’t sure what your next steps should be
You’ve been writing for a while but you feel disconnected from your writing practice + want some supportive accountability
What you’ll get: while this varies, most commonly we’ll schedule sessions to talk through specific challenges, or we’ll define a timeline for you to send me pages of your draft-in-progress for review.

I ghostwrite books + screenplays. You might need a ghostwriter if:
You have the expertise + the experience to publish an authoritative text in your field, but you don’t have the time to write it yourself
You have an idea or a story to tell, and you want a trusted collaborator to bring it to life
You don’t want your name on something that is mediocre or identifiably written by AI
You’ve brought your project as far along as you can, but need another set of eyes to clarify + refine
What you’ll get: depending on the project, a revised or even completed manuscript.
How this works:
Get in touch via the contact form, and tell me more about you + your project.
We'll book time for a call to chat through questions (for free, obvi.)
I’ll suggest a quote + timeline for you to review.

Testimonials
“Paige is an exacting, observant and unremitting editor and an incredibly humane person. Exactly what a writer needs. She helped me go further and deeper in my writing than I thought possible.”
“Working with Paige transformed my once amateur writing into cohesive, eloquent and functional prose. I could not have published my first novel without her. She has had the greatest impact on my evolution as an artist, championing my work from the very early stages of my literary journey to its current point. ”
“I’m in awe of Paige’s expertise and talent. She identified and named themes I didn’t fully connect and I felt empowered to fine-tune with her insight. She totally got the book and I’m so grateful to work with her!”
